1. Bamburgh Beach

   
   Bamburgh Beach is a beautiful sandy beach with views of the iconic Bamburgh Castle. It’s a popular spot for dog owners, and dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. There are plenty of facilities available, including toilets, cafes, and parking.
   A poll recently conducted by Which? placed Bamburgh as the best seaside town in the UK for the third year in a row, making it a sure fire hit to visit with your dog.

2. Beadnell Bay

   
   Beadnell Bay is a picturesque beach that’s perfect for dog walking. With its golden sands and crystal clear waters, it’s a great place for a swim, and dogs are allowed on the beach all year round, though there is a seasonal restriction for breeding shorebirds during the summer months where dogs must be kept on lead. There are plenty of facilities available, including toilets, cafes, and parking.

3. Druridge Bay

   
   Druridge Bay is a seven mile stretch of golden sands that’s perfect for a long walk with your dog. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round, and there are plenty of facilities available, as well as several nature reserves hidden behind its dunes.

4. Embleton Bay

   
   Embleton Bay is a beautiful beach with stunning views of the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round, and it’s close by to the medieval village of Embleton.  Embleton Bay was voted the best beach in the UK in 2017.

5. Low Newton Beach

   
   Low Newton Beach is a quiet and secluded beach that’s perfect for a peaceful day out with your dog. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round, and there’s not one but TWO pubs in the nearby village, both of which are dog friendly!

6. Alnmouth Beach

   
   Alnmouth beach is a wide sandy bay that sits at the mouth of the River Aln, just in front of the village of Alnmouth.  With no dog restrictions, this beautiful sandy beach is a must visit while looking for a beach adventure with your dog.

7. Cocklawburn Beach

   
   A breathtaking sand and rock beach nestled between Berwick and Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve.  Within the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding National Beauty, on a clear day you’ll spot Holy Island in the distance.  The beach is dog friendly all year round and is an ideal spot for long walks taking in the beauty of Northumberland.

   Seahouses North Beach is a beautiful sandy beach that’s perfect for a day out with your dog, sitting in-between the villages of Bamburgh and Beadnell. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round, and there are plenty of dog friendly pubs and cafes in the local villages to refresh yourself after a windy walk with your pup.

9. Seaton Sluice Beach

   
   Seaton Sluice Beach is a a quick five minute drive from Petiquette HQ.  The sandy beach with free parking is perfect for a peaceful day out with your dog.  Play frisbee with your pup while watching paddle boarders and surfers braving the north sea, then finish your day off with a pint in either the Melton, or The King’s Arms pub.

    Cresswell beach can be found at the southern edge of Druridge Bay and is arguably one of the best sandy beaches along the Northumberland coast.  Dog friendly all year round, so while your pooch chases their ball, let the kids explore a few rock pools and enjoy what Northumberland has to offer.
