Introduction
Welcome to Petiquette Home Boarding. These Terms and Conditions govern the home boarding services provided by Petiquette Collars (“we,” “us,” or “our”) at our residence in Seaton Delaval, Northumberland. By booking a trial stay or main boarding service with us, you (“the Owner”) agree to abide by the terms set out below.
1. Licensing & Governance
We operate under an official Animal Activity Licence issued by Northumberland County Council (4-Star Rating).
We comply strictly with local authority license requirements and national animal welfare regulations to ensure the safety, hygiene, and comfort of all guest dogs.
2. Health, Vaccinations & Medical Care
Vaccination Status: All guest dogs must be fully vaccinated with up-to-date boosters prior to arrival. Proof of vaccination (vaccination card or vet record) must be presented before or at the trial stay.
Flea, Tick & Worming Treatments: All dogs must be up-to-date with routine veterinary flea, tick, and worming preventative treatments.
Existing Medical Conditions: The Owner must disclose any pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or ongoing medical requirements prior to booking.
Medication: We will administer prescribed medications in accordance with the Owner’s written instructions, provided the dog is cooperative and safe to treat.
Veterinary Care: In the event that a dog becomes ill, injured, or requires urgent medical attention during their stay:
We will attempt to contact the Owner and/or emergency contact immediately.
We reserve the right to seek veterinary treatment from the dog’s registered vet or our designated emergency vet.
All veterinary fees incurred during the stay remain the sole responsibility of the Owner and must be settled upon collection.
3. Suitability, Temperament & Behavioral Requirements
Resident Host: Guest dogs share our home with our resident Miniature Poodle, Kevin. Therefore, we can only accept friendly, dog-sociable dogs.
Behavioral Exclusions: We cannot accept dogs that exhibit aggression, severe reactivity toward other dogs or humans, persistent destructive behavior, or unmanageable separation anxiety.
Neutering Policy:
Male Dogs: We strictly do not accept intact (un-neutered) adult male dogs.
Female Dogs: We accept intact female dogs; however, we strictly cannot board any female dog that is in season or expected to come into season at any point during her stay. If a dog comes into season during her stay, the Owner or emergency contact must arrange immediate alternative care.
4. Property, Belongings & Liability
Personal Items: The Owner agrees to provide sufficient food, treats, bedding, bowls, leads, and optional crates/toys. While we take every reasonable care with personal belongings, we cannot accept liability for loss or damage to bedding, crates, or toys brought into our home.
Damage to Property: The Owner accepts responsibility for any significant damage caused by their dog to our home, garden, or personal property beyond normal wear and tear.
5. Liability & Insurance
We hold comprehensive public liability and home boarding insurance cover.
While we maintain the highest standards of safety and care, dogs are boarding in an active, living environment. Petiquette Home Boarding cannot be held liable for natural illness, injury, or unforeseen incidents unless caused directly by our negligence.
