How to measure for a Whippet collar
- Wrap a soft tape measure around the top of your dog’s neck—just behind the ears and under the chin.
- Note the measurement in inches — this is your dog's neck measurement.
- Choose the size where that measurement falls within the range, ideally towards the smaller end to allow for adjustment.
This is the narrowest part of your dog’s head, and measuring here helps reduce the risk of your Whippet slipping out of their collar.
Example:
If your dog's measurement is 12", choose the 11" to 13" size. This means the collar adjusts between 11 and 13 inches — it does not mean the total length of the collar is 13".
If measuring from an existing collar, measure from the end of the leather to the hole you use — not the total length of the collar. The total length will result in a collar that's too big.

A handmade leather Whippet collar featuring a diamond pattern of Swarovski crystals. The collar can be made in four sizes to fit most mid-sized Sighthounds from luxurious Italian calf leather in 28 glorious colours.
Pick from Crystal or Crystal AB for the large crystal in the pattern, then from a choice of ten shades for the diamond pattern. We’re often asked what the difference between Crystal and Crystal AB is – the AB stands for Aurore Borealis. These crystals have a coating applied during manufacture that creates a kaleidoscope of colour when light refracts through the crystal facets. While Crystal will shine and sparkle like a diamond, Crystal AB will glisten like a rainbow.

Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty. Postage costs are non-refundable on change-of-mind returns. For US orders, tariffs and duties are non-refundable.

FAQs
How long will my order take?
All collars and leads are made to order. We typically dispatch within 7 working days, with Royal Mail Tracked 48 adding 2–3 further working days in the UK. Most orders arrive within 5–10 working days. A dispatch notification is sent by email. If you need a collar by a specific date, contact us before ordering.
Can I exchange my collar if it doesn't fit?
Yes. If the collar doesn't fit when it arrives, you can exchange it for a different size. The most common reason for a poor fit is measuring the total length of an existing collar rather than the dog's neck directly. What type of collar is best for a Whippet?
Whippets are a sighthound breed, which means they have a narrow, tapered head that is slimmer than their neck. This is the opposite of most breeds, and it means a standard flat collar sized to fit the neck will simply slide straight off over the head. A sighthound collar solves this with a wider central section, often called a fishtail shape, which is broader than the neck when the collar is worn. This makes it more difficult for the collar to slip over the head, while the tapered ends sit neatly behind the ears for a comfortable, secure fit.

Every Swarovski crystal is individually secured by hand in our Northumberland workshop. We’ve had customers wearing the same Chaos Theory collar for years of daily walks without losing a stone. If you do ever lose one, get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
