Measuring your dog's neck for a half-check collar is easy. The most important thing to remember is that the collar needs to expand enough to slide on and off over the head, but have the room to tighten to allow control.
That's why you'll need two measurements to get an accurate fit:
1. Measure around the widest part of the head - this is usually around the ears.
2. Measure the mid point of the neck - where the collar will sit during walks.
Enter these two measurements when ordering and we'll craft a half-check collar that will fit perfectly.
Important note - Don't add any fingers underneath the tape measure as that will result in a collar that is too large.

A soft, lightweight leather half check collar that’s perfect for show days or everyday use. This collar offers gentle control without bulk, making it ideal for small to medium breeds who like to strut their stuff.
Each collar is made by hand using our butter-soft Italian leather, available in 28 vibrant colours. It’s crafted around a strong yet flexible paracord core, so while it looks elegant and minimal, it’s tough enough to handle daily walks with ease.
The leather is stitched into a rounded shape that sits comfortably around the neck, though it does have a subtle flat edge from the stitching – giving it a sleek, low-profile finish. A lightweight stainless steel check chain completes the look without weighing your dog down.

How long will my order take?
All collars and leads are made to order. We typically dispatch within 3–7 working days, with Royal Mail Tracked 48 adding 2–3 further working days in the UK. Most orders arrive within 5–10 working days. A dispatch notification is sent by email. If you need a collar by a specific date, contact us before ordering.
Can I exchange my collar if it doesn't fit?
Yes. If the collar doesn't fit when it arrives, you can exchange it for a different size. The most common reason for a poor fit is measuring the total length of an existing collar rather than the dog's neck directly.
