Wide Leather Collars for Sighthounds

Sighthound collars are a specialised accessory which are made with elegant sighthounds in mind. They are typically wider around the throat and taper to a narrower buckle which sits on the back of the neck. This "fishtail collar" design helps to prevent the dog from backing out of the collar, as any sighthound owner will know this playful class of dog are expert escape artists.
The sighthound isn't a single breed of dog, rather a collection of dogs that in the past would hunt prey by sight. Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, Basenji, Greyhounds, Borzoi, Saluki, Deerhound, Wolfhound and Lurchers amongst others are all classed as sighthounds. As they all differ in size quite dramatically we craft various sized collars for these beautiful dogs.
Our range of sighthound collar are hand-crafted in our UK workshop using premium Italian leather, making them durable enough for daily use. We offer a multitude of sizes and colours, from traditional black and browns to vibrant greens, blues and yellows, for all sighthound breeds from puppy to adult.
What size of sighthound collar should I buy for my dog?
As one of the foremost collar manufacturers in the UK, we believe that your sighthound deserves the very best. That's why we offer three standard widths of sighthound collar so that you can find a collar that will be the perfect fit for your dog.
Petite Italian Greyhound collars are ideal if your home is ruled by this tiny bundle of energy. This tiny sighthound breed can have a fairly delicate neck, which is why many of our Italian Greyhound collars can be made with an optional layer of padding for extra comfort.
Our mid-sized collars for sighthounds are perfect for Whippets, Basenji and smaller lurchers. They measure 1.75" around the throat so offer plenty of protection for their slender necks.
For the larger hounds, you'll need one of our wide greyhound and lurcher collars. At two inches around the throat, these wide collars are perfectly suited for bigger dogs.
All of our collars are finished to the highest standard, complete with solid stainless steel hardware, so you don't need to worry about walks in the rain or dips in the sea.
