Keep your pet safe and stylish with our Sherlock Hound Pet ID Tag. This fun design features a charming Basset Hound dressed as a classic detective, complete with a little deerstalker hat, monocle, and magnifying glass.

The artwork is printed directly onto our lightweight aluminium tags so your contact details stay perfectly clear and easy to read, making it a great choice if you want to add a bit of personality to your dog’s collar.

Supplied with a split ring to attach the tag to your dog’s collar.

1.1mm thick aluminium – This makes the tags very lightweight, so they won’t weigh down cats, puppies, or smaller breeds, but they are still sturdy enough for daily use.
UV printed graphics – The designs are printed using UV ink, which gives a sharp, vibrant finish.
Gloss varnish coating – A protective gloss top coat is applied over the print on both sides to help protect the tag from everyday scratches and weather.
Personalised reverse side – You can add up to 5 lines of clear text on the back for your contact details.

Size Guide

Our round tags come in three sizes to fit any collar:

19mm (Small): Best for cats, small puppies, and toy breeds like Chihuahuas or Yorkies.
25mm (Medium): The standard size, ideal for medium breeds like Cockapoos or French Bulldogs.
32mm (Large): Built for larger dogs like Labradors or German Shepherds who need a bigger tag.

ID Tags are made and dispatched within 3 business days.

All collar orders are handmade to order and dispatched within 7 business days, Monday to Friday. If you order ID tags alongside collars, they will be sent together.

EU Orders We're IOSS registered, so for orders up to €150 all VAT and import tax is collected at checkout — no surprise charges on delivery. We're currently unable to process EU orders over €150.

US Orders Trump tariffs apply to all US orders from 29th August 2025. Tariffs and customs duties are calculated and added at checkout, so there are nothing extra to pay on arrival.

ID tags are non-refundable unless faulty. That being said, if you're unhappy with the tag you receive, please do get in touch and we'll do our best to resolve any issues.

What size ID tag is best for my dog?

What contact details should I add to the back of the tag?

Under the UK Control of Dogs Order 1992, any dog in a public place must wear a collar with the owner’s name and address (including postcode) on it. However, we strongly recommend adding a phone number so you can be reached quickly. A format that we'd recommend is: D Jones 1 Bark Crescent Barksville DO3 1DG 0777 777777

Are these tags waterproof?

Yes. Because they are made from aluminium and sealed with a gloss varnish, they are completely waterproof and fine for rainy walks, muddy fields, and swims.

Will the text on the back rub off?

The text is printed with UV-cured ink that bonds directly to the metal, and is then sealed under the gloss varnish layer. This makes the text highly durable and resistant to the daily wear and tear of pet life. We would recommend that you not add a second tag that hangs alongside, as constant rubbing may damage the edges of the print.
