Our Two Tone Leather Half Check Collar is the ideal blend of style and practicality, especially for dogs with a knack for slipping out of their collars. Made by hand using the softest Italian leather, this collar features a contrasting lining colour to give it a stylish edge while offering long-lasting comfort.
Unlike traditional martingales made with fabric or leather loops, this collar uses a high-quality stainless steel check chain, adding a sleek finish and gentle correction when needed. Available in four widths to suit a variety of breeds, it’s important to note that narrower widths will have lighter chains, so may not be suitable for strong pullers or very large dogs.
This collar is designed to sit loose while walking but will gently tighten if your dog begins to pull or tries to back out—giving you peace of mind without compromising comfort. Rounded edges help prevent irritation or rubbing, and a soft leather lining means it feels great from the first wear.
To get the best fit, be sure to measure the widest part of your dog’s head (usually around the ears), as the collar must slip on easily without being too loose.
Every collar is handmade to order in your chosen colour combination, right here in our Northumberland workshop.
Measuring Your Dog's Neck For a Half Check Collar
- Wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of your dog’s head so that it’s fairly snug (often around the ears) and take that measurement.
- Take a fairly snug measurement around the middle of their neck too.

Delivery Information
- Handmade to order, we aim to dispatch within 3-7 working days (Monday-Friday)
- UK Orders dispatched by Royal Mail Tracked 48, which normally takes 2-3 working days
- International Mail dispatched by Royal Mail International Tracked, then handed to local postal service in destination country. Timescales vary from country to country.

The EU
We are IOSS registered - this means that for orders up to €150, any VAT or import tax is collected at checkout, so it's already taken care of. You won’t need to pay anything extra when your parcel arrives, helping you avoid unexpected customs charges or delivery delays.
Unfortunately, due to IOSS regulations, we're unable to process orders to the EU over €150 at this time.
The US
Since August 29th 2025, all orders to the United States are subject to the new Trump tariffs. We automatically calculate and add the tariff and customs duties to your order at checkout, so there are no surprise charges when your collar arrives.
UAE, Qatar, & Saudi Arabia
Due to issues with Royal Mail handing over to local postal services in the UAE, Qatar & Saudi Arabia, we only offer courier services to these destinations.
All other international destinations
For all destinations outside of the USA and the EU we do not add any taxes or duties on international orders, which means that for delivery outside the United Kingdom they may be subject to import duties and taxes.
