A soft yet strong 1.4m lightweight leather lead made from Italian calf leather with a paracord core and stainless steel fittings. Available in 28 colours.
A good lead should be strong, light, and easy to handle — and this one ticks all three boxes. At around 1.4 metres long, our lightweight leather lead gives your dog plenty of room to roam while keeping you comfortably in control. It’s especially useful for smaller breeds or anyone who prefers a lead that doesn’t feel bulky in the hand.
Each lead is handmade in our Northumberland workshop using soft Italian calf leather in your choice of 28 colours. Inside, a paracord core adds strength without adding weight, making this lead a dependable choice for daily walks, from quick morning strolls to weekend outings. The stainless steel trigger clasp gives a smooth, secure attachment, while the matching O-ring in the handle lets you wear it crossbody when your dog is off lead.
The rounded design feels smooth in your hand and softens even further with use. Whether you’re pairing it with a matching collar or choosing a colour that stands out, it’s a simple, good-looking lead that works just as well as it feels.

How strong is the lightweight leather lead?
Despite its soft feel, the paracord core makes this lead strong enough for everyday use, even for dogs that pull.
Can I choose any colour for this lead?
Yes, it’s available in all 28 of our Italian calf leather colours. You can match your dog’s collar or choose a different shade.
Is it suitable for large dogs?
Yes — though it’s lightweight, the core and construction are strong enough to handle most breeds. For very strong pullers, a wider lead would be more suitable though.
What’s the O-ring in the handle for?
It lets you clip the lead around your shoulder or waist when your dog’s off lead, so you don’t have to carry it in your hand.

- UK Orders dispatched by Royal Mail Tracked 48, which normally takes 2-3 working days
- International Mail dispatched by Royal Mail International Tracked, then handed to local postal service in destination country. Timescales vary from country to country.

The EU
We are IOSS registered - this means that for orders up to €150, any VAT or import tax is collected at checkout, so it's already taken care of. You won’t need to pay anything extra when your parcel arrives, helping you avoid unexpected customs charges or delivery delays.

UAE, Qatar, & Saudi Arabia
Due to issues with Royal Mail handing over to local postal services in the UAE, Qatar & Saudi Arabia, we only offer courier services to these destinations.
All other international destinations
For all destinations outside of the USA and the EU we do not add any taxes or duties on international orders, which means that for delivery outside the United Kingdom they may be subject to import duties and taxes.
