The slim, lightweight design means they’ll hardly notice it’s there, but you’ll have peace of mind knowing their details are always with them.
Each collar is handmade in our Northumberland workshop from buttery-soft Italian leather, built around a flexible paracord core for just the right balance of lightness and strength. This combination makes the collar easy for your dog to wear all day without rubbing, while still being durable enough for years of daily use.
Finished with solid brass hardware, this collar has a warm, timeless look that suits any coat colour. As with all house collars, it’s not designed for attaching a lead—its sole purpose is to securely hold your dog’s ID tag in case they ever go walkabout.

What is a house collar?
A house collar is a lightweight collar designed for your dog to wear indoors or when out in a harness. Its main purpose is to hold an ID tag, ensuring your dog can be identified if they ever wander off. It’s not intended for lead attachment or walking.
Can my dog wear this collar all day?
Yes. The slim leather design and paracord core make it soft, flexible, and comfortable enough for all-day wear. Many owners use house collars as a safe way to keep ID tags on their dog at all times when not using a walking collar.
Why use brass hardware on a dog collar?
Solid brass is durable, rust-resistant, and has a warm, classic look that complements any leather colour. It’s also less likely to cause skin irritation compared to some other metals, making it a great choice for sensitive dogs.
Is this collar suitable for attaching a lead?
No. This collar is for ID tags only. If you need a collar for walking, we recommend browsing our range of designer dog collars or sighthound collars.
It's easy to measure your dog for a Petiquette house collar. Ideally, they should be a little looser than a normal collar, and typically sit just below the mid-point of the neck. Follow the guide below and your dog will be have a tailored fit collar in no time at all.
