How to measure your dog's neck
- Wrap a soft tape measure around the middle of your dog's neck, held fairly snug against the fur.
- Note the measurement in inches — this is your dog's neck measurement.
- Choose the size where that measurement falls within the range, ideally towards the smaller end to allow for adjustment.
Example:
If your dog's neck measures 10", choose the 9" to 11" size. This means the collar adjusts between 9 and 11 inches — it does not mean the total length of the collar is 11".
If measuring from an existing collar, measure from the end of the leather to the hole you use — not the total length of the collar. The total length will result in a collar that's too big.

A quality leather dog collar should be something your dog can wear comfortably every day. We handcraft this handmade leather collar in our workshop using premium Italian leather that feels soft and flexible from the very first walk.
We line the collar with the same buttery soft calf leather that the rest of the collar is made with so it won’t rub against your dog’s neck or catch on their fur, making this luxury dog collar comfortable enough for constant wear, even for dogs with sensitive skin.
With 28 vibrant leather colors to choose from, you can find a shade that matches your dog’s personality. While the full-grain leather feels soft, it is remarkably tough; a quick wipe with a damp cloth after a messy walk is all it takes to keep this handmade collar looking brand new.
We make our bespoke dog collars in 11 different sizes, from a tiny 7″ Chihuahua up to a 26″ Mastiff. We make sure the width of the leather matches the neck size you select, so the collar is always a comfortable fit for your dog’s size.
Whether your dog is a sea-swimmer or a mud-roller, this leather collar is made for the outdoors. We use solid stainless steel for every buckle and D-ring, so you never have to worry about the metal rusting after a trip to the beach or a rainy walk.

EU Orders We're IOSS registered, so for orders up to €150 all VAT and import tax is collected at checkout — no surprise charges on delivery. We're currently unable to process EU orders over €150.
US Orders Trump tariffs apply to all US orders from 29th August 2025. Tariffs and customs duties are calculated and added at checkout, so there are nothing extra to pay on arrival.
All other international destinations We don't add taxes or duties at checkout, however your order may be subject to import duties on arrival. See our full delivery information page for details.
If you're not happy with your purchase, we'll refund or exchange any unused, unworn, undamaged item in re-saleable condition. Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order at hello@petiquettecollars.co.uk.
Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty. Postage costs are non-refundable on change-of-mind returns. For US orders, tariffs and duties are non-refundable.
Collar doesn't fit? Don't worry — we can make you a new collar that will fit perfectly. Just contact us within 30 days and return it to us.

FAQs
How long will my order take?
All collars and leads are made to order. We typically dispatch within 3–7 working days, with Royal Mail Tracked 48 adding 2–3 further working days in the UK. Most orders arrive within 5–10 working days. A dispatch notification is sent by email. If you need a collar by a specific date, contact us before ordering.
Can I exchange my collar if it doesn't fit?
Yes. If the collar doesn't fit when it arrives, you can exchange it for a different size. The most common reason for a poor fit is measuring the total length of an existing collar rather than the dog's neck directly. Can my collar be made in a different width?
Our collars come in five widths: 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", and 1.25", which are matched to the collar size so your dog will have the most comfortable collar possible for their size and breed. However, as every collar is cut and made entirely by hand, if you'd prefer something wider or narrower just get in touch and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
How do I clean a leather dog collar?
A wipe with a damp cloth after muddy walks is usually enough to keep our leather collars looking good. For more stubborn stains, perhaps your dog has been rolling in fox poo, add a small amount of washing up liquid to the damp cloth and gently wipe the affected area. If your dog has been swimming, particularly in the sea, give the collar a wipe with a damp cloth afterwards to remove any residue or salt from the leather.
