How to measure your dog's neck
- Wrap a soft tape measure around the middle of your dog's neck, held fairly snug against the fur.
- Note the measurement in inches — this is your dog's neck measurement.
- Choose the size where that measurement falls within the range, ideally towards the smaller end to allow for adjustment.
Example:
If your dog's neck measures 10", choose the 9" to 11" size. This means the collar adjusts between 9 and 11 inches — it does not mean the total length of the collar is 11".
If measuring from an existing collar, measure from the end of the leather to the hole you use — not the total length of the collar. The total length will result in a collar that's too big.

This black vegetable-tanned leather collar is a classic choice with a modern twist. The outer is traditional vegetable-tanned leather, known for its rich finish and long-lasting character. Inside, you can choose any of our 28 Italian leather colours for the lining, giving your dog a pop of colour or a subtle match.
The collar can also be ordered with a hidden layer of padding under the lining for extra comfort, while the rounded edges of the Italian leather lining will help protect your dog’s coat from damage.. The hardware is solid stainless steel—strong, reliable, and made to handle everyday wear.
We only have a very small amount of this leather, so if you’d like to expand your dog’s wardrobe, then don’t delay as it won’t be around for long.

EU Orders We're IOSS registered, so for orders up to €150 all VAT and import tax is collected at checkout — no surprise charges on delivery. We're currently unable to process EU orders over €150.
US Orders Trump tariffs apply to all US orders from 29th August 2025. Tariffs and customs duties are calculated and added at checkout, so there are nothing extra to pay on arrival.

If you're not happy with your purchase, we'll refund or exchange any unused, unworn, undamaged item in re-saleable condition. Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order at hello@petiquettecollars.co.uk.
Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty. Postage costs are non-refundable on change-of-mind returns. For US orders, tariffs and duties are non-refundable.
Collar doesn't fit? Don't worry — we can make you a new collar that will fit perfectly. Just contact us within 30 days and return it to us.

FAQs
How long will my order take?
All collars and leads are made to order. We typically dispatch within 3–7 working days, with Royal Mail Tracked 48 adding 2–3 further working days in the UK. Most orders arrive within 5–10 working days. A dispatch notification is sent by email. If you need a collar by a specific date, contact us before ordering.
Can I exchange my collar if it doesn't fit?
Yes. If the collar doesn't fit when it arrives, you can exchange it for a different size. The most common reason for a poor fit is measuring the total length of an existing collar rather than the dog's neck directly. Can my collar be made in a different width?
Our vegetable tanned collars come in four widths: 5/8", 3/4", 1", and 1.25", which are matched to the collar size so your dog will have the most comfortable collar possible for their size and breed. However, as every collar is cut and made entirely by hand, if you'd prefer something wider or narrower just get in touch and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
How do I clean a leather dog collar?
A wipe with a damp cloth after muddy walks is usually enough to keep our leather collars looking good. For more stubborn stains, perhaps your dog has been rolling in fox poo, add a small amount of washing up liquid to the damp cloth and gently wipe the affected area. If your dog has been swimming, particularly in the sea, give the collar a wipe with a damp cloth afterwards to remove any residue or salt from the leather.
