These Booking Terms & Conditions outline the financial terms, trial requirements, cancellation policies, and arrival/departure rules for reserving a stay with Petiquette Home Boarding.
1. Meet & Greet and Trial Stay Policy
Meet & Greet: All new clients must complete an initial, informal Meet & Greet visit at our home in Seaton Delaval to introduce their dog to us and our resident Poodle, Kevin.
Trial Night: Following a successful Meet & Greet, a minimum 1-night trial stay is compulsory for all new guest dogs before any main holiday booking of more than 3 nights can be confirmed.
The trial night is charged at our standard nightly rate, payable in advance of the trial stay, and is non-refundable.
2. Booking Deposit & Payment Terms
Securing a Reservation: Due to our exclusive single-household policy, dates are strictly allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. A 25% deposit (or full payment if booked within 14 days) is required to secure your reservation.
Final Balance: The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 14 days prior to the check-in date.
Last-Minute Bookings: Bookings requested within 14 days of arrival must be paid in full at the time of booking confirmation.
3. Standard Arrival & Departure Times
Drop-off: Flexible, agreed with you at the time of booking.
Collection: 9am-11am, included in your dog’s stay.
Late Checkout: Available until 6:30pm for £20, bookable in advance.
After 6:30pm: We’re unable to accommodate collections after 6:30pm. If you’re not able to collect by then, your dog will stay for an additional night, charged at our standard nightly rate.
4. Cancellations, Amends & Refunds
Fees are charged at the rates published or agreed at the time of booking, including any agreed extras. A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking, and dates are not held until the deposit is received. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your Dog’s stay.
If you cancel 30 days or more before arrival, your deposit will be refunded in full. If you cancel between 14 and 29 days before arrival, your deposit will be held. We will refund it if we are able to fill the cancelled dates with another client; if we cannot, the deposit is non-refundable to cover the loss of the booking. If you cancel within 14 days of arrival, or your Dog does not arrive for the booking, the full booking fee remains payable.
If you reduce the length of a confirmed stay, this is treated as a cancellation of the nights removed and follows the same terms above, based on the notice given at the time of the change. The nights you keep are billed as normal.
If you collect your Dog earlier than agreed, the full booking fee remains payable unless we agree otherwise.
5. Emergency Contacts
The Owner must provide at least one local, accessible Emergency Contact who is authorised to make decisions and, if necessary, take custody of the dog in the event of an emergency, behavioural breakdown, or unexpected heat cycle.
