What is a slip-on dog ID collar?
A slip-on dog ID collar is a lightweight collar designed to slide over your dog’s head and hold their identification tag. It has no clasp or buckle and is made for comfort, not control.
Can a slip-on ID collar be used with a lead?
No — slip-on ID collars are not suitable for lead attachment. Use a walking collar or harness for walks, and keep the slip-on collar for ID tags only.
What sizes and colours are available?
We make each collar to order in your chosen size and from 28 leather colours. Hardware is available in stainless steel, brass, or rose gold.
How do I measure for a slip-on collar?
Measure around the widest part of your dog’s head (including ears) to ensure the collar can slide on and off comfortably. Compare this to our size guide for the best fit.
It's easy to measure your dog for a Petiquette dog ID collar. The key thing to remember is that this style of collar needs to slide over the head, so it must be large enough to pass over the ears (which is usually the largest part of the head).
As long as you measure that part correctly, the collar should just fall naturally around your dog's neck.
Wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of the head (this is normally around the ears). The collar needs to be large enough to slide over this point.
Measure the mid point of the neck fairly loosely.
Select a size as close to the largest measurement as possible.
