How to measure your dog's neck
- Wrap a soft tape measure around the middle of your dog's neck, held fairly snug against the fur.
- Note the measurement in inches — this is your dog's neck measurement.
- Choose the size where that measurement falls within the range, ideally towards the smaller end to allow for adjustment.
Example:
If your dog's neck measures 10", choose the 9" to 11" size. This means the collar adjusts between 9 and 11 inches — it does not mean the total length of the collar is 11".
If measuring from an existing collar, measure from the end of the leather to the hole you use — not the total length of the collar. The total length will result in a collar that's too big.

Choosing a collar is usually pretty straightforward. Choosing a collar that looks great, feels comfortable all day, and lets you pick two colours from 28 options so you can make it genuinely your own? That’s where the Petiquette padded leather dog collar comes in.
The outer is soft Italian leather, the same leather used across the Petiquette range, that breaks in quickly and holds up beautifully over time. Inside, a super soft specialist padding sits against your dog’s neck, with rounded edges that make a real difference to everyday comfort. Flat-edged collars can rub against the coat with repeated movement, which over time leads to matting and even hair loss, particularly around the neck. The rounded profile on the padded collar avoids that entirely, sitting gently against the fur rather than working against it.
The two-colour combination is where it gets genuinely fun. With 28 leather colours available for both the outer and the lining, the number of possible combinations is, frankly, enormous. Classic black outer with a pop of teal lining. Peanut butter and dove grey. Royal purple and baby pink. You can go subtle, you can go bold, or you can hand the decision to whoever in the house has the strongest opinions about the dog’s wardrobe. No judgement either way. EU Orders We're IOSS registered, so for orders up to €150 all VAT and import tax is collected at checkout — no surprise charges on delivery. We're currently unable to process EU orders over €150.
US Orders Trump tariffs apply to all US orders from 29th August 2025. Tariffs and customs duties are calculated and added at checkout, so there are nothing extra to pay on arrival.

If you're not happy with your purchase, we'll refund or exchange any unused, unworn, undamaged item in re-saleable condition. Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order at hello@petiquettecollars.co.uk.
Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty. Postage costs are non-refundable on change-of-mind returns. For US orders, tariffs and duties are non-refundable.

FAQs
How long will my order take?
All collars and leads are made to order. We typically dispatch within 3–7 working days, with Royal Mail Tracked 48 adding 2–3 further working days in the UK. Most orders arrive within 5–10 working days. A dispatch notification is sent by email. If you need a collar by a specific date, contact us before ordering.
Can I exchange my collar if it doesn't fit?
Yes. If the collar doesn't fit when it arrives, you can exchange it for a different size. The most common reason for a poor fit is measuring the total length of an existing collar rather than the dog's neck directly. How do I clean a leather dog collar?
A wipe with a damp cloth after muddy walks is usually enough to keep our leather collars looking good. For more stubborn stains, perhaps your dog has been rolling in fox poo, add a small amount of washing up liquid to the damp cloth and gently wipe the affected area. If your dog has been swimming, particularly in the sea, give the collar a wipe with a damp cloth afterwards to remove any residue or salt from the leather.
Can my dog wear this collar all day?
Yes, if fitted correctly. The soft padding and smooth leather make it comfortable for extended wear. However, some owners prefer to use a house collar indoors and reserve this padded collar for walks, to keep it in top condition and ensure the dog is always wearing an ID tag.
