How to measure your dog's neck
- Wrap a soft tape measure around the middle of your dog's neck, held fairly snug against the fur.
- Note the measurement in inches — this is your dog's neck measurement.
- Choose the size where that measurement falls within the range, ideally towards the smaller end to allow for adjustment.
Example:
If your dog's neck measures 10", choose the 9" to 11" size. This means the collar adjusts between 9 and 11 inches — it does not mean the total length of the collar is 11".
If measuring from an existing collar, measure from the end of the leather to the hole you use — not the total length of the collar. The total length will result in a collar that's too big.

Each collar is crafted in our Northumberland workshop using supple leather that’s gentle on young necks but durable enough for everyday wear. Its flexibility ensures it’s comfortable from the first outing, while the stainless steel buckle and D-ring provide reliable security for attaching an ID tag or lead.
With two slim width options and sizes made especially for small puppies, it suits everything from tiny toy breeds to young sighthounds. Choose from 28 colours to match your puppy’s personality, and pair it with a matching leather lead for a coordinated look.

EU Orders We're IOSS registered, so for orders up to €150 all VAT and import tax is collected at checkout — no surprise charges on delivery. We're currently unable to process EU orders over €150.
US Orders Trump tariffs apply to all US orders from 29th August 2025. Tariffs and customs duties are calculated and added at checkout, so there are nothing extra to pay on arrival.

If you're not happy with your purchase, we'll refund or exchange any unused, unworn, undamaged item in re-saleable condition. Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order at hello@petiquettecollars.co.uk.
Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty. Postage costs are non-refundable on change-of-mind returns. For US orders, tariffs and duties are non-refundable.

FAQs
Can I buy one collar that will fit my puppy through to adulthood?
We don't recommend this for two main reasons: safety and comfort. Puppies grow incredibly fast, and a collar with enough holes to span from 8 weeks to adulthood would leave a long length of leather hanging near your puppy’s mouth, which is just an invitation for them to chew it. A puppy's neck isn't fully developed, so they need a lightweight collar that isn't too heavy for them. An adult dog needs a wider, more substantial collar to properly support and protect their neck, which would be far too bulky for a young puppy.
How long will my order take?
All collars and leads are made to order. We typically dispatch within 3–7 working days, with Royal Mail Tracked 48 adding 2–3 further working days in the UK. Most orders arrive within 5–10 working days. A dispatch notification is sent by email. If you need a collar by a specific date, contact us before ordering.
Can I exchange my collar if it doesn't fit?
Yes. If the collar doesn't fit when it arrives, you can exchange it for a different size. The most common reason for a poor fit is measuring the total length of an existing collar rather than the dog's neck directly. How do I clean a leather puppy collar?
A wipe with a damp cloth after muddy walks is usually enough to keep our leather collars looking good. For more stubborn stains, perhaps your dog has been rolling in fox poo, add a small amount of washing up liquid to the damp cloth and gently wipe the affected area. If your dog has been swimming, particularly in the sea, give the collar a wipe with a damp cloth afterwards to remove any residue or salt from the leather.
