Martingale Collar Size Guide

Back to all size guides

This guide is for martingale collars. Martingale collars tighten when tension is applied, so they must be large enough to slide on and off over the head while still tightening safely for control.

1. Head measurement

Measure around the widest part of your dog’s head, usually around and just in front of the ears. This measurement ensures the collar will slide on and off comfortably.

2. Neck measurement

Measure around the middle of your dog’s neck, where the collar will sit during walks. This is the working fit of the collar once it tightens.

Important. Do not add fingers underneath the tape measure. Enter the exact measurements you take. Adding extra space will result in a collar that is too large.

Enter both measurements when ordering and we will craft your martingale collar to your dog’s size.
