The Printed Collection brings together rich, vibrant designs on the finest Italian calf leather, each collar handmade in our Northumberland workshop just as every Petiquette collar has been since 2009. The range covers every size from the tiniest chihuahua to the largest great dane, so whatever breed shares your sofa, there is a printed collar that can be made to fit them.

Every collar in this range starts as a piece of white Italian calf leather, sourced from the tanneries of Tuscany and the same leather we have been handmaking collars from in our Northumberland workshop since 2009. The design is printed directly onto the leather using a UV printer, which cures the ink as it is applied. This is the key difference between UV printing and other methods: the ink bonds directly to the leather and becomes part of it, rather than drying on top of it the way ordinary ink or paint would.
Once the printing is done, each collar is cut, stitched, and assembled by hand in the workshop, using the same stainless steel hardware and hand-finishing as the rest of the Petiquette range. The finished collar is then treated with Renapur leather balsam, which conditions the leather and adds a light water-resistant barrier, so it arrives ready to wear from day one.
To find the right size, wrap a soft tape measure around the middle of your dog's neck, held fairly snug against the fur. Use that measurement in inches to find the size range where your dog's neck sits comfortably within it, ideally towards the smaller end to leave room for adjustment.
A size of 12"–14" means the collar fits dogs with a neck measurement between 12 and 14 inches, not that the total length of the collar is 14 inches, which is the most common source of confusion when ordering online.
The table below shows the full size range, the collar width at each size, and the buckle strap type.
| Neck size | Width | Buckle Strap |
|---|---|---|
| 7.5" to 9.5" | 5/8" to 1/2" | Full length printed leather |
| 9" to 11" | 5/8" | Full length printed leather |
| 10.5" to 12.5" | 5/8" | Full length printed leather |
| 12" to 14" | 3/4" | Full length printed leather |
| 13.5" to 15.5" | 3/4" | Full length printed leather |
| 15" to 18" | 1" | Brown Italian leather buckle strap |
| 17" to 20" | 1" | Brown Italian leather buckle strap |
| 19" to 22" | 1.25" | Brown Italian leather buckle strap |
| 21" to 24" | 1.25" | Brown Italian leather buckle strap |
| 23" to 26" | 1.25" | Brown Italian leather buckle strap |
On the five larger sizes, from 15"–18" upwards, the buckle strap is made from brown Italian vegetable tanned leather rather than printed leather. This is because the printer bed size does not accommodate the full length of a larger collar, so the printed design covers the full main body of the collar while the buckle strap is made from a separate piece of leather. Each brown strap has the Petiquette name embossed on it by hand.
If you are unsure which size is right for your dog, or your dog sits between two sizes, get in touch before you order. Getting the size right first time saves everyone time, and we would rather help you do that than have to deal with an exchange.
A damp cloth is all you need for everyday mud and dirt. For a deeper clean, use a small amount of washing up liquid works well, and a light application of leather balsam, such as Renapur or an unscented moisturiser, every now and again will keep the leather supple and the colours looking their best. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners and do not leave the collar soaking in water. Full care guidance is on our how to clean a leather dog collar page.
Very. The durability of a printed leather collar comes down to two things: the quality of the leather and the printing method. Ours are made from Italian calf leather sourced from Tuscan tanneries, the same leather we have used for every collar we have made since 2009, and the designs are UV printed rather than painted or applied as a surface coating. UV ink cures as it is applied, bonding directly to the leather and becoming part of it rather than sitting on top of it. The flexible nature of the ink also means it moves with the leather as the collar bends, which is exactly what you want from something your dog wears every day.
The collars can handle everyday exposure to rain and wet grass without any problems. Every collar leaves our workshop treated with Renapur leather balsam, which adds a light water-resistant barrier to the leather. What you want to avoid is prolonged soaking, leaving a wet collar on your dog for extended periods, or submerging it in water. If the collar does get thoroughly wet, let it dry naturally away from direct heat rather than putting it on a radiator, which can dry out and harden the leather over time. A light application of leather balsam once it has dried will keep it in good condition.
A damp cloth handles most everyday dirt and mud without any fuss. For a more thorough clean, a small amount of washing up liquid works well. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, which can damage both the leather and the print. Once clean, a light application of leather balsam, such as Renapur or an unscented moisturiser, will keep the leather supple and the colours looking their best.
